Duddo Five Stones Duddo Five Stones is a stone circle a kilometer north of the town of Duddo, Berwick-upon-Tweed; these stones are similar to The Goatstones at Ravensheugh Crags southwest of Duddo. Duddo Stone Circle was known as the Four Stones until 1903 when five stones were erected, but it is considered to have had seven stones. This is due to the western side, where two stones may have been. The circle is considered to be from the Bronze Age, as is The Goatstones. Coordinates 55.686774,-2.112202 Description There are currently five stones on a circular base, which give the appearance of a pointer. From this pointer, they are angled at 17° toward the southeast. The stones are random in shape, suggesting they date to the early Bronze Age or earlier. Anaylsis If the stones are paired at an angle of 73° for two pairs, this corresponds to an angle of 17° toward the northwest/southeast. The corresponding calculation results in 39.05, which could be sunrise. The east/west stones are 5 me...
