The arena measures 58 by 35 metres, giving surface areas of 7988 and 1539 square metres respectively.  There are four entrances, two main entrances at each end, with the seating area supported by three tiers of columns and arches. (Although these are no longer there, measurements and amphitheater descriptions rely on a complete building.) Nympsfield Long Barrow

Nympsfield Long Barrow Nympsfield Long Barrow is considered a burial site located nort hwest of the village of Nympsfield  in Gloucestershire. It is thought to date to 2800 BC and is a scheduled monument. Some people consider it connected to Stoney Littleton Long Barrow . Coordinates 51.710252,-2.299706 Description The tomb is angled at 17° northeast. It measure s 5 metres wide by 10 metres long. Two large stones, which could be roof supports, occupy the center, with possibly three rooms off a main corridor. Analysis If the burial site was from 2800 BC, it would be angled 7.417° more. This would give it an angle of 24.41° northeast.  7.41675 + 17 = 24.41675.  There are other roofless tombs shown to align with celestial objects . If considered connected to Ston ey Littleton Long Barrow and using the angle of tilt, the difference is about 1°.  24.416 75 - 23.435 = 0.9817 5 Moon Comparing it to the Moon, like St oney Littleton Long Barrow, the difference ...

Stoney Littleton Long Barrow

Stoney Littleton Long Barrow Stoney Littleton Long Barrow is a chambered tomb and is considered most likely Neolithic . It is also known as the Bath Tumulus and the Wellow Tumulus . Coordinates 51.313246,-2.381488 Description The tomb is angled at 45.5° southeast. It is comparable to other chambered tombs in that it is partly buried with several internal rooms. It measures 50 feet at the entrance, 30 feet at the far end, and 100 feet in length. Moon The Moon's inclination to Earth's equator is currently either 18.28° or 28.58°. The inclination to the ecliptic is currently 5.1 45°.  Subtracting these two: 28.58° − 5.145 ° = 23.435°.  The difference between 51.313246° and this current tilt is: 51.313246° − 23.435° = 27.878246°.  The Moon's visual size, as seen from Earth, is 0.5°. Analysis If the above numbers—angle of to...
