Nabta Playa

Nabta Playa neolithic site or not?

CC BY-SA 3.0

Nabta Playa is a neolithic, bronze age stone circle constructed in the Nubian Desert.
The use of smaller stones suggested the remoteness and lack of wood even when constructed. Inclusion of carved stones on the site suggests the age. Also, there is a buried stone, which some suggest is in the shape of a cow but could also be axe shaped. This was above a curved circular stone when constructed. This was carved from the bed rock and remains there since it was carved. After construction cattle and a funeral near the site occurred, small stones were used when marking constellations around the burials.

Possible analysis
A technique that uses an averaging method to derive a root is used.
The method is made up of 2 numbers. An example is used with numbers.

√22=
√16=4+((22-16)÷(4×2))=0.75
=4.75
This is applied to the numbers derived from the rotational angle 20°. The addition of the two angles obtained adds up to this and is used as a primer. Log is also used possibly as a primer.

The numbers clockwise/ anti-clockwise

2,2,1,(2,2),2,2,1,1,2,
32862.930
9.128
Using log =log((221÷22112))=-2.00

2,1,(2,2),1,(2,2),2,1,1,2,
965.086
2.680
Using log =log((21÷2112))=-2.00

The two numbers also derive two angles, which can be converted into celestial coordinates.
2,2,1,(2,2),2,2,1,1,2
=165.75°

2,1,(2,2),1,(2,2),2,1,1,2
=15.75°

There are two interpretations one uses 12hr rotation and the other 24 hours.

12hrs = 360° (165.75°)
=RA 5hr 31' 30"
Declination 80.423°

24hrs =360° (165.75°)
=RA 11hr 3'
Declination 15.75°

This gives two angles and added together equals 110
(82.75+27.25=110)
Using west to east (as in the diagram), then 110=90°+20°

The buried carved stone of a circular shape could be a celestial event or object with it's link to the area even vaguer but it wasn’t uncommon to erect stone circles at specific times when large events were occurring. These would have a spiritual and celestial meaning.

There is a possibility that there are four different meanings and hence 4 dimensional, linking two similar celestial events and the others are spiritual and religious. The spiritual would be connected to the burying of the cattle with the dead and the constellations marking the date, the religious could be that the site was connected their worship and this connected with the stone circles or similiar items that would normally be used.

The similar celestial events are open to interpretation, but they form the shapes used.
There is a sign that they were trying to achieve the following calculations whilst making the rest celestial.
A completion of the calculations from 'Nabta Playa a neolithic site or not?'
Using the number 2 derived from the set of numbers and converting to log base 2 (as negative numbers become complex numbers and using the base switch or change rule of logarithms gives the same answer).

2,2,1,(2,2),2,2,1,1,2
2,1,(2,2),1,(2,2),2,1,1,2
Using log =log((221÷22112))=-2.00
Using log =log((21÷2112))=-2.00

The comparative connection with a 45° triangle of side 1 and diagonal of √2 inside a circle
(√2)/2=centre/√2=diagonal
Compares with the log of the roots
Log (0.707) 2=-2.00
Log (1.414) 2=2.00

The log with the numbers converted to base 2
Log (2) 221=7.789
Log (2) 22112=14.432
Log (2) =221÷22112=0.0099
Subtracted= -6.645
Added= 22.221

Log (2) 21=4.392
Log (2) 2112=11.044
Log (2) =21÷2112=0.0099
Subtracted= -6.652
Added= 15.436

Linking the two using φ and π, this produces a difference of 1.27 and a ratio of 1.14 between the two.
360=2π
22÷7=π
2π=360=(π×(2(√2))=8.89

φ=1.618
φ=1.618×36°×10=π×(1.618×2)
=10.167
Difference =1.27 (√φ)

Using the difference to link the two circles with the variation, the most probable is a superimposed circle or a volumetric shape. Here, the simplest is a conical shape of similar sides.

(π×h)÷3 (R(R+r)+r²)
=(π×2)÷3 ×(φ(φ+√2)+√2²
=14.464 @ 2 @ 84.182°
=9.185 @ 1.27 @ 79.865°
=22.72 @ π @ 86.289°

Conclusion
According to Fred Wendorf, the site and other sites date to 7000 bc with cattle being farmed and possibly buried along with their dead. The campfires also date to this era, but the use of stones and their alignment would be far in advance of their capabilities with the first Neolithic stones circles no older than 4200 bc.

It is more likely that by chance or speaking with local tribes a group of people decided to build a stone circle with some carvings, keeping the tradition of burying cattle but at a time when stone circles were fading out. These techniques and use of numbers show it could have been at the time around the early stages of building construction along the Nile, particularly Khufu's pyramid.

Further to this, there are other articles that link similar site together either by age or by the same group of people constructing them.
Here it suggest that Nabta Playa with it's structures, Tiya (archaeological site) in Soddo Region of Ethiopia and Aïr Mountains, Niger rock art petroglyphs are connected for the purpose of carving and alignment,  these would have been two traits required.
(This is partly due to what they represented and the quality of representation)

Notes
A golden triangle, also known as the sublime triangle, is an isosceles triangle in the golden ratio 1.618 by 1.00 with angles 72°/36°/72°, 10 of these occur inside of a circle.
A golden gnomon is a triangle with angles 36°/108°/36°, three of these, and a golden triangle fit inside of a circle.
A golden rectangle is whose ratios are that of φ, where the mid point is used to complete the rectangle, its radius is √5/2.

Bachwen Dolmen

Bachwen Dolmen The Bachwen Dolmen burial chamber is located near Clynnog-fawr, Caernarfon, Wales. A number of cupmarks exist on the monument, it is notably wedge shaped and with this points out to sea at an angle of 28° towards the northwest. The support stones support this wedge on the sides so are also at 28°, the elevation is 24m. Coordinates 53.018891,-4.375356 Possibilities  There are three possible explanations for this chamber, (1) it is angled so as to align with the Major standstill or (2) it aligns with tilt and angle away for date or (3) two numbers are used and connects with a date. (1) The Major standstill is currently 28.725°, for it to be this, there must be a further stone to give Minor standstill, difference in between or 0.725° as it isn't measurable to that accuracy. (2) More likely it is maximum tilt 20° and 8° tilt for that year. 8÷1.55=5.1613 5.1613×1000=5161.3 5161.3-1985=3176.3 bc 8° equates as 3176 bc. (3) The only numbers used are 28 and 24, from ...
