Roman Amphitheatre of Uthina The Roman Amphitheatre of Uthina is located in Uthina , near Tunis, Tunisia .  Building for Uthina began in 40 BC and continued through to 135 AD. The amphitheatre may have been a later addition to what was already a large town.  Also located there were a fortress, cisterns, an aqueduct, a triumphal arch, a theatre, and a basilica with a circular crypt . Coordinates 36.608598,10.169214 Description The amphitheatre, partly buried, measures 113 by 90 meters. The arena measures 58 by 35 metres, giving surface areas of 7988 and 1539 square metres respectively.  There are four entrances, two main entrances at each end, with the seating area supported by three tiers of columns and arches. (Although these are no longer there, measurements and amphitheater descriptions rely on a complete building.) Dolmen Ouest de la Croix is not far from the Dolmen de Tréal which is about 1km away towards the northwest in Bretagne, France.

With this monument, it is known that it started as a neolithic dolmen most probably facing towards the southwest.
It was probably a sculptured dolmen that represented a rock formation with a sunken Cairn, judging by the stones available, these are currently shaped in a semi circle facing south with a wooden footpath from the southwest and is about it's orientation when built.

This dolmen could of been dismantled and moved by owners of the Chateau du Val which is only 700m away soon after it was built in the 16th century as it was on their land but finding the stones of the dolmen far too cumbersome they just dismantled them. This was possibly due to it being near to their eastern road. The Dolmen de Tréal is still mostly intact and about the same distance away but in woodland.

The current angle between the three is 143°, the angle between Dolmen Ouest de la Croix and Dolmen de Tréal is 49° and because the coordinates at the location are 47.765484, -1.989342 then it is possible it was moved from a location that would give it an angle of 47.76°.
This would also reduce the angle to Les Landes de Cojoux to about 1°/2° but if this was 0° east/west at maximum tilt it could be suggested that this is a gnomon measurement at max tilt with an angle of 42° to the horizon.
Comparable with other Neolithic constructions, this could be considered as a probable date of 4200 bc, also representing its location at maximum tilt.

The Dolmen de la Croix-du-Breuil is different from the Dolmen Ouest de la Croix and is located further south at 45° 50′ 50″N, 1° 09′ 05″E.
It is also beside a road and is mostly intact and is comparable with the Dolmen Ouest de la Croix (image above, comparable to what it would have appeared as).
