Gorsedd Circle The Gorsedd Circle is a stone circle in Fishguard, Wales. The Gorsedd Stones are a Welsh tradition of modern stone circles constructed for the National Eisteddfod of Wales. These stone circles can be found at several locations, including Aberdare Park and Anglesey. They are typically 20 metres wide and have 12 stones on the circumference with a level stone in the circle. A further stone is usually set back from the circumference; the central stone is called the Logan Stone. Coordinates 51.996431,-4.975040 Stone Circle Gorsedd Circle is a typical stone circle but has 13 stones on the circumference with one inset. It was erected in 1936 and has the names of the parishes inscribed on each stone. Ceremony During the opening ceremony, the Archdruid stands on the Logan Stone facing the Stone of the Covenant. Two stones mark the entrance and are called the Portal Stones. These mar k the midsummer and midwinter sunrises. Gorsedd Circle (no edit) Archeology7...
Neolithic Tombs of Sardinia
These are so-called megalithic gallery graves that feature stone cairns built during the Bronze Age.
Sardinia was populated by the Nuragic civilization from about 1800 bc and
Ozieri culture in 3200-2800 bc.
Giant's grave at Arzachena, Coddu Vecchiu, Lu Brandali, and Li Lolghi stay in better condition than tombs like Giant's grave of S'Arena which are in disrepair.
These tombs are thought to be built by the Nuragic civilization, which were the same people who built the Nuraghes.
Coddu Vecchiu
As with other tombs, the facade is curved. This curve could be considered as part of a circle with a radius 13m in front of it. There are no centres for these circles, so their angle with the horizon is measured.
In this tomb, for accuracy, it is the small back stone that aligns with the entrance. This is at 3° and could equate to 49 bc.
The tomb is about 10m long and 3° at 10m in a triangle, which gives a side of 0.524m. At pi, it is 0.549m.
The difference is 2.5 cms, and because of this, the builders intention was possibly pi at maximum tilt.
2.5cms=inch
30.48cms=ft
Diameter 82.67 ft
41.33×30.48÷100=12.60m
41.33×30.4÷100=12.57m
3.142×41.33²−(4655-7.1796)=719
Interesting the difference between three and pi at 10 metres is 2.5 cms or one inch. The ratio 917/719 also appears, and that doesn't appear outside of Stonehenge, and its ratio is 12.60, and the ratio from Avebury 1496 connects the diameter but inverted.
Using obliquity for a date of the tomb.
Inside a triangle of pi degrees at 6689 produces a side of 367.181, subtracting 360 equals 7.181° or 2647 bc.
Deriving the ratios.
1496 ratio
1496×π=4700
4699.8−(2647+1985)=67.82
917 ratio
917×27.32=25052
25772-25052=719
719÷917=0.78407
0.78407×16.06646=12.60
40075 ratio
40075÷1.606646=24943
24943÷27.2=917
40075÷1.609344=24901
24901÷27.155=917
25772 ratio
(25772×1.609344)÷917=45.2
(25772×1.606646)÷917=45.15
25772 ratio suggests there isn't much in it. The 917 ratio connects with 354/355 a Greek/Roman year, and the shorter 27.2 connects to a draconic month.
The Draconic month connects better with the Neolithic measurement of 1606.646.
Other graves
The Giant's grave of Lu Brandali, another tomb, features a 36° angle with a circle of 28m. Because of measurements, this could be interpreted as between 27.2-28m.
If 2647 bc is accurate, then this angle would have been 28.82°. Using the smaller diameter of 27.2m and equations from earlier, the tomb connects with the Neolithic measurement.
The Giant's grave of Li Lolghi features a 18° angle with a circle of 30.5m because of measurements. This could be interpreted as about this number, and angle would be 10.82°.
At 18° it produces a number of 900, assuming the answer should be 917, then the correct angle would be 18.33°, at 15.25m, the difference is about one foot.
Conclusion
Because Coddu Vecchiu's date is most likely accurate, it means it was built in the 27th century bc and a century before Avebury and a century and half before Stonehenge. Any connection with Greek or Romans calendars are that they also used Lunar months. There is also a small connection to the Egyptian royal cubit.
There is little to connect with the other tombs mentioned except design and Lunar angles. It also suggests that all three are forward aligned.
