Down Tor Stone Circle

Down Tor Stone Circle Down Tor Stone Circle is a stone circle near Down Tor, Dartmoor. Also called Hingston Hill Cairn. Foggintor Quarry is not far to the northwest, where the stones could have been quarried, along with Down Tor, which is currently a national park. Crazywell Cross is to the north and Drizzlecombe to the south. Coordinates  50.506060,-3.994103 Description  Down Tor Stone Circle consists of a long stone row with a circle of stones at the end towards the southwest. This can be considered similar to Drizzlecombe in shape and construction, and is 2 kilometers away. Measurements  This tor and circle are angled at 22° towards the southwest, with the row at a length of 755 feet or 230 metres. Analysis  It is possible that Down Tor Stone Circle is similar to Drizzlecombe, which was shown to be possibly connected with the golden ratio and π or 9πφ together. The circle is 40 meters wide. If using the 22° on the circle towards the northwest, then all stones pair...

Lligwy Burial Chamber

Lligwy Burial Chamber

Lligwy Burial Chamber is a chambered tomb located on the Isle of Anglesey.
The monument was excavated in 1909 and is currently considered Neolithic. It is a scheduled ancient monument.
It was probably used for burials and is thought to have been covered by a mound of earth or stones.

Coordinates
53.349956,-4.252911

Further monuments:
(Bedd Branwen)
Probably broken off from Plas Newydd Burial Chamber near the castle wall.

(Tŷ Newydd Burial Chamber)
Probably Bronze Age, but located here from clearing.

(Bryn Gwyn Standing Stones)
Probably parts from the other burial chambers, but located here from clearing.

(Meini Hirion Standing Stones)
Probably Bronze Age, but located here from clearing.

(Bodowyr Burial Chamber)
Probably Bronze Age, but located here from clearing.

(Trefignath)
Probably Bronze Age, but located here from road building.

(Glyn Burial Chamber)
Probably Bronze Age but relocated here from a clearing.

Description
Located at an elevation of 60 meters, the capstone is slightly rectangular and measures 1 meter in height. This puts its weight at between 60-70 tons.
It is composed of limestone and has two distinct dark markings toward the northeast.

Measurements
With its slightly rectangular shape, it can be considered angled at 13° toward the northeast.

Analysis
If using Bryn Celli Ddu Chambered Tomb as an example, a date of 1456 BCE would be produced. This was derived by dividing the altitude by ten and also its angle toward the northeast.
Another date of 2120 BCE could be obtained by dividing its angle by the altitude and subtracting the result from 1985.

Conclusion
Due to its weight, the monument probably needed to be moved during further road construction. Possibly bringing it closer to a public road for visitors.
It can be considered Neolithic or early Bronze Age, but its original purpose is unclear.
Other Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments are also considered here. These demonstrate that most were cleared from the land for agricultural purposes, and others for road building. This probably occurred in the 1920s and 1980s.
